ABOUT BARAA

Baraa is Syrian citizen who holds a BA in English Literature from Aleppo University and a Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming.  After the Arab spring in 2014, Baraa moved to Turkey and began working as project manager and campaigner for the Syrian Association. In 2015, Baraa lived for six months in the notorious jungle camp in Calais and worked as an Arabic/English translator. He is also a co-founder member of the Jungleye photography project. Baraa was eventually granted refugee status in the UK where he then discovered his talent for acting. He has performed with companies such as the PSYCHEdelight Theatre Company, touring through Germany, Switzerland, Denmark and India. Baraa was a Refugee Week Ambassador in 2018.
